Backyard Roots & Shoots is located on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation of the Anishinaabek Peoples currently known as Guelph. In this truth, we have a responsibility to honour and respect the rich indigenous history and modern traditions that these lands are steeped in. As new immigrants to Turtle Island, we acknowledge benefiting from settler privilege and strive to stay on the path of learning as we navigate our role in the stewardship of these Between The Lakes Treaty 3 lands.
